HTML Full Form
HTML, or Hypertext Markup Language, is the foundation of the World Wide Web. It is a markup language used to create web pages and other information that can be displayed on a web browser. HTML provides a structure for web pages, defining elements such as headings, paragraphs, lists, and links, and enables them to be presented in a consistent way across different devices and browsers.
History of HTML
HTML was first created in the early 1990s by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, a British computer scientist who is often credited with inventing the World Wide Web. Berners-Lee saw the potential of the internet as a platform for sharing information, but realized that there needed to be a standardized way to format and structure content. The first version of HTML, HTML 1.0, was released in 1991 and included basic formatting elements such as headings, paragraphs, and links.
As the internet grew and more people began to use it, new versions of HTML were developed to meet the evolving needs of web developers and users. HTML 2.0 was released in 1995, followed by HTML 3.2 in 1997 and HTML 4.01 in 1999. Each new version of HTML introduced new elements and features, such as tables, frames, and forms, and made it easier to create more complex web pages.
In 2004, a group of web developers and experts formed the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG) to develop the next generation of HTML. This effort led to the creation of HTML5, which was released in 2014. HTML5 introduced many new elements and features, such as audio and video, canvas for drawing and graphics, and improved support for mobile devices and accessibility.
