OAS Examination Pattern
OAS Examination is conducted by Odisha Civil Service Commission (OPSC)
The Exam Pattern for OAS(Odisha Administrative Service) is given below.
The Odisha Civil Services Examination will consist of the following successive stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type-Multiple Choice Questions)
- Main Examination,
- Personality Test or Interview.
✅OPSC Preliminary Exam Pattern
➢The prelims exam of OPSC OAS is a screening test, and the candidates have to answer MCQs.
➢It will be divided into two papers, and candidates can complete each paper in two hours.
➢Every correct answer will get 2 marks for the candidates on paper I, and an incorrect answer means a negative marking of 0.25.
The OPSC OAS exam pattern for the prelims is as follows.

The preliminary exam will consist of two papers.
The syllabus for paper 1 is as follows
- National and international events
- Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and World
- Indian historical events
- Indian Constitution, Political system, Public Policy, Rights and Issues
- Poverty, Inclusion, Sustainable development, Demographics and Social Sector initiatives
- General Issues on Bio-Diversity, Environmental Ecology and climate change
- General science
The paper 2 syllabus is as follows
- English Language Comprehension skills
- Basic Numeracy and Data Interpretation
- Logical reasoning and analytical behaviour
- General Mental Ability
- Decision making and problem-solving
- Interpersonal skills such as communication skills
